Volunteers are at the heart of Al Hijrah Trust.

You can make an amazing difference at Al Hijrah by supporting the organisation and participating in activities taking place at our Masjid.

Whatever your interests, experience or skills, we have a role for you, and we will train, mentor and support you in whatever role you choose to do.

Al Hijrah is grateful to its volunteers who dedicate their precious time and energy in serving our community. Our volunteers are from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of skills, expertise and experience that help enhance the services and activities we deliver at Al Hijrah Complex. We value their contribution and in particular the commitment, dedication and hard work they demonstrate in their roles.

Volunteering is a great form of sadaqah. It is hugely beneficial both to the Muslim community and wider British society we seek to serve through the centre. Not only this, but there is great reward in volunteering at a mosque as the ultimate reason is to please Allah. This is especially true during the holy month of Ramadan when the reward for every good deed is multiplied. There are benefits also for volunteers in terms of skills development, CV building and new experiences.
